-Far north cluster of businesses and retailers including L&L Food Center, Arby's, Little Caesar's Pizza, Flapjack Shack, etc. -- Cedar Street/East Avenue is nearly continuous strips of retailers and restaurants from DeWitt to Holt.SPECIAL POINTS OF INTEREST -- Many of the smaller towns and villages of the area have unique downtowns with clusters of specialty businesses, including DeWitt, Haslett, Okemos, Mason, Holt, Dimondale, Potterville and Grand Ledge. Lake Lansing at Haslett has a fine beach & picnic area on the east side and boat launch area as well as picnic areas, nature trails and ball diamonds on the north side. Ferguson Park on the Red Cedar River at Okemos has picnic grounds, duck feeding opportunities and access to the river for canoes. The Ledges (accessible from Fitzgerald Park) and Island Park at Grand Ledge are popular attractions. The dam at Dimondale is a prime fishing site.

South Lansing Christian Church
-- Is located within a two-mile radius of many options for eating, shopping, lodging and recreation.Michigan State University Campus is only a few minutes drive northeast of SLCC.
The downtown area of Lansing, with the Capitol, Lugnuts' home diamond, museums and libraries, is only a few minutes north-northwest.
Potter Park Zoo is only about four miles north of SLCC off Pennsylvania Avenue at the Red Cedar River.
